FRIEDA
Hey, my name is Frieda and I’m a cultural tutor at BIK. My heart beats for creativity, culture and community. I really enjoy organising events that focus on creativity and expression. The most important thing for me is that everyone feels comfortable and that there is a lovely sense of community. At BIK you can find me at the Clothes Swap, the Art Session or the Open Stage! You can reach me at [email protected].

Diversity
In order to reach as many students as possible with our events, we offer them for diverse target groups. For example, in the area of diversity we currently have specific events for queer students.

NAIL
Moin moin, my name is Nail (preferably no pronouns/they/them) and from September I’ll be taking over the queer regulars’ table here at STW. Come along and we can cook together, do handicrafts, picnic, barbecue, have a relaxed chat or even go on a trip together. For me, being queer means above all (self-)acceptance, community and strength. I am queer myself, so a safe place for us queer people to exchange ideas, network and be ourselves is very important to me. I am also very grateful to be able to take over the Stammtisch and look forward to meeting you.

Franco-German Voluntary Service
As part of the Franco-German Voluntary Service, the BIK has been supported by a volunteer from France for 10 months at a time since 2017. The partner placement is the Romance Seminar at the University of Münster. The project was initiated by the German-French Youth Office (DFJW). The volunteer supports the BIK in everyday office work and is responsible for their own projects, such as the French regulars’table. In order to strengthen the German-French friendship, BIK also cooperates with the twin city of Orléans and organises student exchanges.
